Summary
  • A man by the name of Monsieur Seguin bought a beautiful goat that he thought would not get bored and leave him. She did get bored after a while and decided to find adventure by going to the top of the mountain
  • "Monsieur Séguin had never been lucky with goats. No matter how hard he tried, the kind old man could not keep one very long. For goats love freedom and, sooner or later, every one of them would slip away and scamper off up the mountainside...only to be caught and eaten by the hungry wolf who waited there. But Blanquette was different - or so Monsieur Séguin hoped. She was a pretty little goat and young enough, he thought, to be trained to stay with him. Set in the sunlit countryside of Provence, this is the charming story - which has become a local legend - of how gentle Blanquette did the unexpected and proved herself to be the bravest little goat of all."
